Technologist Computers Steps Up for Minneapolis Youth
Make it stand out
In the vibrant city of Minneapolis, a transformative program quietly operates, profoundly impacting the lives of its youth. The Step Up Youth Employment Program, in partnership with esteemed stakeholders such as the City of Minneapolis, Achieve Twin Cities, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, and Project for Pride in Living, has been a source of hope for thousands of young individuals aged 14-21 since its establishment in 2003.
Annually, Step Up undertakes the crucial mission of training and placing hundreds of Minneapolis high school students into paid internships with over 100 Twin Cities employers. This endeavor not only offers invaluable work experience but also serves as a conduit between the aspirations of youth and the workforce demands of the region.
This year, we are proud to once again participate as one of the employers in Step Up's annual Level 2 Internship. Collaborating with Step Up provides significant advantages as we contribute to guiding and nurturing youth in building early-stage careers. Within our organization, we will be hiring interns for roles such as Agritech Intern, Community Technologist, Marketing Intern, and Program Assistant for Global Entrepreneurship Week MN, each holding a vital position.
Excitement brews as we welcome more interns into our growing organization. Through our involvement in the program, we offer mentorship tailored to each intern's role, preparing them for future endeavors. Not only do interns receive valuable insights and guidance, but they also serve as role models, inspiring other youth to develop their full potential.
The impact of the Step Up program transcends individual participants, representing an investment in the future of the community. These young individuals are not merely the workforce of tomorrow; they are the leaders, innovators, and change makers who will shape Minneapolis for generations to come.
